6 simple steps to get closer to your goal

Every day you either walk up to the goal, or move away from it. If you are making concrete steps, you can be confident that moving to the goal. If you do nothing, then move away from it, lose momentum, start living on inertia. By following these steps, you will know that you are moving toward your goal every day.

1. Make a clear idea of what you want to achieve

You can not move to the goal if you do not have a clear understanding of what constitutes the goal. This picture should be specific. You do not just want to "find a better job." You need to clearly imagine what it would be for the position and why it will be better. You do not just want to "work on yourself." Instead, you should have a clear idea of what you will do and how it will change your life.

2. Regularly submit your success

In order to more clearly understand the purpose, as often as possible, visualize its achievement. Try to imagine it as detailed as possible, perhaps even target shall describe in great detail. Whenever you lose heart, get the opportunity to retire and imagine your success.

3. Link the achievement of its goals with great pleasure

The third step is to create an association between the achievement of your goals and the great pleasure that it brings. This may be a natural consequence of the rendering process in step two. Think about how you will feel when you reach success. What will it be like? How much joy it will bring? How will you celebrate? Try as much as possible to achieve a deeper and more realistic degree of pleasure. The more pleasure you associate with achieving your goal, the easier it will be to get out of your comfort zone and do what is necessary to achieve it.

4. Tie a lot of pain with the thought of failure

Another motivator in encouraging you to your destination, is the pain that you associate with the fact of its failure to reach. The school is the motivation that compels students to write an essay on the day before the deadline for submission - the pain of failure for them is very clear. What kind of pain you associate with failure to reach your goals? What are you NOT to be? How it will look in the eyes of others? How would you feel? Clearly get a feel these pains, and use them as a call to action. However, be careful to use only the pain. Remember that failure is not inevitable. On the other hand, you know that you can achieve your goals.

5. Try to do something important every day to achieve your goals

As I said at the beginning, every day that passes without a forward motion toward your goal, separates you from it. So you need to do something every day to achieve it. Begin by identifying the major activities that will be needed for this. Each goal can be broken down into a series of steps, and those in turn - on matters that have to do. Need to do something every day from this list. This means that even in the days when you are busy with other things, tired, or when unexpected events take up your time, you still need to find a way to do something that will help to move forward. Even if it is a simple operation, it will save your personal momentum in the right direction.

6. Always be aware of your goal

You need to not only provide a clear picture of what you want to achieve, but always keep it in mind. There are many ways to constantly remind yourself of your goal. For example, you can make notes of the photos that you want to achieve. A few years ago I set a goal to get to the Olympics. I have compiled a collage with images of the Olympics and the cities where they were held. I put the board in a place where I could see it all the time at work. It helped me to make progress, which was necessary for the realization of my goal. Now, many years later, I went to four consecutive Olympics. You can also use your system calendar (such as Outlook or Google Calendar) to set a reminder. Let reminders to keep you focused on the goal you want to achieve.
These six steps are simple, but very effective. Apply them in practice, and you will achieve your goal!
