Eating too much hot pot or steamboat is dangerous for your health

Hot pot or huǒ guō (火鍋) less commonly Chinese fondue or steamboat, refers to several East Asian varieties of stew, consisting of a simmering metal pot of stock at the center of the dining table. While the hot pot is kept simmering, ingredients are placed into the pot and are cooked at the table. Typical hot pot dishes include thinly sliced meat, leaf vegetables, mushrooms, wontons, egg dumplings, and seafood. Vegetables, fish and meat should be fresh. The cooked food is usually eaten with a dipping sauce. In many areas, hot pot meals are often eaten in the winter.

The Chinese hot pot has a history of more than 1,000 years, originated in Mongolia where the main ingredient was meat, usually beef, mutton or horse. It then spread to southern China during the Tang Dynasty and was further established during the Mongolian Yuan Dynasty. In time, regional variations developed with different ingredients such as seafood. By the Qing Dynasty (AD 1644 to 1912), the hot pot became popular throughout most of China. Today in many modern homes, particularly in the big cities, the traditional coal-heated steamboat or hot pot has been replaced by electric, propane or butane gas, or induction cooker versions.


Because hot pot styles change so much from region to region, many different ingredients are used.


Why Eating too much hot pot or steamboat is danger for your health

Hot pot restaurant is a striving business in Asia . Where during the cold weather you can find the place crowded with people siting and enjoying hot pot. This can be seen from  Beijing ,Tokyo , Malaysia ,the south east Asia countries up till Mongolia and the Nepal.

Yet eating hot pot to frequently as a habit can causes  be dangerous as it can effect the gastric juice, bile, pancreatic juice, etc being secrete to much by the digestive glands due to not enough rest , leading to gastrointestinal disorders and abdominal pain, diarrhea, serious chronic gastroenteritis, pancreatic , etc

Poor eating habit of hot pot  it will easily make a person that sick and plagues by disease such as Gastroenterology,  gout disease and the most dreaded cancer and cardiovascular  disease that can lead to mortality.

Stomach cancer and Ulcer

Frequent eating of hot food and soup can cause alot of problem to the bodies. Its a know fact that our  oral cavity, esophagus and gastric generally can only withstand temperature of 50 ℃, too hot it will cause injury to the mucosa , and it a know fact that temperature of hot soup can be up to 120 ℃, can easily burn the mouth, tongue, esophagus and stomach mucosa and frequently eating hot pot will prevent the soft tissues  from healing. All this can lead to various ulcer and stomach cancer.

Gastroenterology

Gastroenterology speaking . Most people that eat hot pot love the texture of fresh crisp smooth taste in their food. They usually just blanched the food. Most dont realize that such habits is a cause of eating indigestion , as the food are not well cook.making its easy for what hidden in the food such as bacteria, parasite eggs are swallowed wholewith food resulting in occurring of gastrointestinal diseases.

Lots of peoples like to eat and drink cold drinks or beer, together with their steaming hot pot. Un notice to them this is  extremely detrimental on the gastric mucosa and can easily causing gastrointestinal illness.

Gout

The ingredient that are for making soup usually contain pigs, sheep, butter, high fat substance in the addition to chili , pepper and pepper sauce . Frequent consumption of this fatty and salty soup can easily lead to high cholesterol, gallstones, duodenal ulcers, oral ulcers , gingivitis, hemorrhoids and other diseases. Meat and seafood that are use contain soluble porphyrin substances , high concentration of porphyrin being process in the liver, it will produce large amounts of nitric acid, causing gout, joint pain symptoms occur, and in severe renal damage.

Cooking method For HOT POT or Steamboat

Frozen meat is sliced thinly to prepare it for hot pot cooking. Slicing frozen meat this way causes it to roll up during cooking, and it is often presented as such. The common meats used include lamb, beef, chicken, duck, mutton, and others. The cooking pot is often sunk into the table and fueled by propane. Or alternatively above the table and fueled by a portable butane gas stove or hot coals. Meat or vegetables are loaded individually into the hot cooking broth by chopsticks, and cooking time can take from 1 minute to 15, depending on the type of food. Meat should be cooked at the very least 20 seconds depend on the thickness of meat. Other hot pot dishes include leafy vegetables, mushrooms, seafood, and noodles. It can be eaten bland to very spicy, depending on how much spice has been put in the stew.

There are often disagreements between different styles of hot pot enthusiasts. Some like to place items into the hot pot at a relaxed, leisurely pace, enjoying the cooking process, while others prefer to put everything in at once and wait for the hotpot to return to a boil. Occasionally due to evaporation the boiled water needs to be refilled. Usually the stew is strong and zesty enough to not require adding more condiments.
