Note: cone-shaped tomatoes are very dangerous!

Unfortunately, buyers are more interested in the appearance of products.  This has resulted with Manufacturers and retailers doing their best to satisfy customers. by creating beautiful vegetables which also unsafe.
 
You may have noticed in recent years, the appearance on the shelves of  cone-shaped tomatoes. Many people buy them, indeed, some buy just this sort of tomato, with a tuft of hair, because they are sure that they are local, and trusted local agriculture. In fact, they taste better than other imported ones, but unfortunately not safer.
 
Have you ever wondered why they have a crest?   
This malformation associated with excessive use of the following substances:

Ethrel - growth stimulator (illegal in some EU countries)
2,4-D - a stimulant hormone and pesticide type
 
Any excess leads to accumulation in plants, fruits, and therefore toxic effects on the user. 
This substance has been banned in India because it has been extensively used in the cultivation of bananas. In some EU countries, it is not prohibited, but the maximum number is very small, and the manufacturers can not abuse it, because the culture tested.
